The focus theme this year is “Going Mobile” examining the emerging area of mobile device forensics. The merger between the computer and the mobile phone is happening with almost geometric proportions. Mobile phones are about to be released that will have in-built hard disks of 4GB or better capacity and the ability to store and edit a variety of documents as well as take photos and several hours of video. Both Trish Williams and Dr. Andrew Woodward have won best paper prizes for conferences lately and are to be congratulated on their efforts. Trish Williams won best paper at CISSE-AP - 1st Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education – Asia Pacific following on from here success at the 3rd Australian Information Security Management Conference. Dr Andrew Woodward won best paper at the 6th Australian Information Warfare and Security Conference at Deakin University in November, 2005 for his paper on wireless security.
